Meet Our Founder

Kairen Leon, MS, OTR/L is the founder and owner of La Vie Est Belle Therapy Services, a family-owned pediatric therapy practice built on faith, compassion, and the belief that every child deserves the opportunity to flourish. Born in Cuba, Kairen immigrated to the United States at just twelve years old with her mother. Arriving without speaking English, she faced the challenge of adapting to a completely new country while watching her single mother work tirelessly to build a better future. Those early years were far from easy. Together, they navigated unfamiliar surroundings, financial hardship, and the uncertainty that comes with starting over. Through it all, Kairen chose to face each new challenge with hope, determination, and a deep trust in God. As a teenager, she balanced school while helping her mother clean homes, babysitting, and working part-time. Even then, serving others came naturally to her. That passion led her to become a college counselor, where she found great joy in encouraging students to pursue their dreams. Although she loved that role, she soon discovered an even deeper calling in pediatric Occupational Therapy, where she could walk alongside children and families during some of life’s most meaningful milestones. With a young toddler at home and a vision in her heart, Kairen founded La Vie Est Belle Therapy Services from the ground up. She didn’t inherit an established practice or a long list of patients. She built it one family at a time, earning trust through genuine relationships, compassionate care, and a commitment to always doing more than what was expected. Her Christian faith remained a constant source of strength and direction. She often says, “When God allows one door to close, He opens ten more.” That conviction carried her through seasons of uncertainty and reminded her that every obstacle was another opportunity to trust God’s plan. Those who know Kairen often notice the same quality: she goes the extra mile. Inspired by Christ’s teaching, “If anyone forces you to go one mile, go with them two miles” (Matthew 5:41), she believes caring for families means doing more than simply meeting expectations. Whether taking extra time to answer a parent’s questions, celebrating a child’s smallest victory, mentoring therapists as they continue their education, or offering encouragement when a family needs it most, she strives to serve others with generosity, humility, and excellence. Today, Kairen continues to treat patients while leading the practice she built, mentoring therapists, and raising her three daughters alongside her husband. She also homeschools her children through a Christian classical education, reflecting the same commitment to lifelong learning, faith, and character that has guided her own journey. For Kairen, La Vie Est Belle has always been about more than therapy. It is a place where children are seen for their unique potential, where families feel supported and understood, and where every interaction is an opportunity to reflect Christ’s love through compassionate service. That vision continues to shape every part of the practice today
